Villabella introduces the new "cru" Villa Cordevigo Rosso 2001.
Charity Auction to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at Villa Cordevigo in Cavaion Veronese.

Great success for the charity auction aimed at collecting funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The 4 auctioned lots included different sizes of the new Villabella wine, Villa Cordevigo Rosso 2001, which was introduced to customer and press on the occasion of a gala dinner at Villa Cordevigo. Special guest in the kitchen: Giancarlo Perbellini, from Ristorante Perbellini at Isola Rizza (Verona), 2 Michelin stars, prepared delicious dishes matched with the Villabella wines.

An other star conducted the auction: Severino Barzan from the Bottega del Vino in Verona and New York. Higher bidder for the first lot was Gilberto Santoro of the Affi Wine Bar, while the three Magnum of Villa Cordevigo rosso went to Renzo Rosso, owner of Diesel.
Two Jeroboam for Luca Governo from the Il Giardino Restaurant in Verona.
Finally, higher bidder for the 5 liters bottle of Villa Cordevigo Rosso was Ugo Prati owner of Farmacia San Massimo in Verona.

Produced with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Corvina, from late harvest and light drying, Villa Cordevigo Rosso ages in cherry wood barrels.

The wine will be released in January 2005.
